Mature open rosette to 90cms. diameter x 70cms. high. Leathery bronze tan / brown leaves with narrow silver cross-banding. Erect, branched spike to 1 metre tall with hanging shell pink scape bracts, upwardly-curved yellow "paddles" and yellow flowers. "Pahala" is the largest town in Ka'u District, Hawaii County.
