Large, mature, urn-shaped rosette to 1.5 metres high. Shiny, bronze green, long, scurfed leaves are slightly tapered in the blade with a blunt rounded end. Leaf bases are broad, dark and the foliage has numerous, small black spines. Foliage reverse is a darker brick red. The red-stemmed, many-branched inflorescence reaches to 2.4 metres tall x 80cm. wide with scarlet scape bracts and golden yellow flowers. Named in honour of the breeder's friend.. Reg. Doc. 3/2017.
