AECHMEA ‘Mirlo’ Hummel <1970

cv. of victoriana v. discolor(?) X orlandiana(?) - (See 'By Golly') - Upright rosette w/strappy copper-amber leaves - also in variable variegated form with red central stripe , called 'Purple Heart' . Softer leaves than 'By Golly' - dark red leaves - low light only. Bromeliad Treasury 1983 said, "Purple black glossy 1-1/2" x 18" leaves in a rosette of open graceful arching form"."Mirlo" means "blackbird" in Spanish.
