Mature, open large rosette to 1 metre. diameter. Glossy wine red leaves, tinged / speckled green, particularly on inner growth. Erect, maroon-stemmed, branched spike to 1.8 metres tall with dusky red peduncle and floral bracts, yellowish green ovaries and sepals, plus golden yellow flowers with exserted stamens.
