Mature, rosette to 80cm diameter x 60 cm. high. Broad leaves with characteristic ridges,10cm wide x 18cm long with green coloration towards the centre, radiating out to burnt orange / red intensifying to the pointed tips. Foliage reverse is green with a tinge of red. Erect, branched spike to 1.85 metres tall with burnt orange scape bracts that are near black from the spike with inflorescence branches 25cm long, burnt orange / red with mucilage especially prevalent and excessive after heavy rains. Creamy yellow / apricot flowers with burnt orange red-flushed reverse. Plant in photos is grown in full unprotected sun and if under 50% shade. will darken up as colour fades in the hot weather. Reg.
