Mature rosette to 20cms. diameter. Broad, recurving grey-green leaves heavily scurfed and with retrorse white spines. Each leaf is imprinted with the previous foliage new growth layer and spines. Bred in Thailand but seed-raised in New Zealand. "Te Ariki" is Maori, meaning the "High Chief - Leader". Grex siblings = D. 'Ata Rangi', 'Kina', 'Koru', 'Marama', 'Taniwha', 'Matariki'. Reg.
