Mature rosette to 25cm. diameter with compact growth form as type D. brevifolia. The stiff leaf obverse is mid-green with light silver scurfing, small regular edged spines and thickened blade ends. Foliage reverse is predominantly white-scurfed with pronounced linear ridges. The erect, unbranched inflorescence to 50cm. high is green-stemmed with golden yellow, bell-like flowers.
