Mature rosette to 40cm. diameter. Many-layered, recurving, silvery grey scurfed leaves, heavily-armed with dense, large white, hooked spines. Each leaf blade has a central, longitudinal, faintly maroon stripe. "Coelacanths" are an Order of fish species endemic to the western Indian Ocean and near Indonesia. Reg.
