Mature, open rosette to 35cm. diameter. Thick, broad, recurving silvery grey, scurfed leaves with large, retrorse, hooked white spines. Erect unbranched , red-stemmed, simple spike to 1 metre tall with orange, bell-shaped flowers. A select grex seedling with superior qualities.
