Mature, large, open rosette to 50 cm. diameter. Thick, recurving, mid-green leaves are marginated golden yellow, tapering to a sharp point, together with white hooked, retrorse spines. The foliage reverse has highly-scurfed, stiff blades with fine green longitudinal lines. This plant was born naturally variegated from seed growing.
