Mature, open rosette to 30cm. diameter x 20cm. high. Arching, bronzed maroon leaves, each tapering to a point with white spines and the foliage reverse is scurfed white, and lined. Erect / leaning simple spike to 40cm. tall with burnished black / orange floral bracts, bell-like, amber orange flowers (each 1.5cm. long x 9mm. wide) with golden .anthers.
