Mature open growth with extended foliage to 36" (90cm.) diameter x 21" ( 53cm.) high. Vertical stem to 12" (30cm) high with arching leaf stems (petioles) 5.5" (13cm.) long and glossy, mid- green spoon-shaped leaves each 10.5" (26cm.) long x 2.5" (7cm.) wide. The actual inflorescence emerges with orange-yellow bracts initially which turn scarlet, is 11"( 27cm. ) long x 2" (5cm.) wide and has semi-recessed, purplish-black flowers 1" (2.5cm.) long.
