Mature open rosette to 90cms. diameter x 30cms. high. Glossy, narrow (4cms. wide), arching, bronze green leaves, brown-spined, with russet red muted longitudinal patches. Short, branched, star-like spike of bright rosy red bracts and whitish flowers. Seed parent was acquired as Aechmea serrata but later identified as Aechmea smithiorum.
