Mature, open rosette to 50cm. diameter. In the advanced juvenile stage, this cultivar has star--like, plain silvery grey-green, prickly leaves with sharp pointed tips. At blooming, it produces a flat, bright salmon red, pin-cushion -like inflorescence with an inner corolla of yellow leaves, extending outwards to firey orange sections and outer leaves turn burnished maroon.
