Mature, star-like, large rosette to 36cm. diameter. Approx. 16-18, wavy, maroon-based, scurfed leaves with silver crossbands, denser towards the pointed leaf tips. Rosette flattens at blooming with a central cluster of pure white flowers. "Octarine" is said to be the color of magic, as it is apparent in the crackling and shimmering of light.
